Ladies and Gentlemen a rainshine filled day in Washington, DC was spent watching the National Cherry Blossom Parade.
Giant cartoons charaters, Wesleys's favorite two girls, Dancing Fairfax County Police Bikes, Japanese stuff, and marching bands.
The first of many rides on the Metro Train for Wes started @ 9ish this morning, he was stoked. there were people to watch, car wizzing by and absolutly no harness to hold him in. The when we emerge from the crowded tunnel (visions of July 4th metro crowds dancing in parents heads) to behold more sighs and sounds. People , Rain, Ninjas and Anime characters run around the streets. We meet up with friends and enjoy what we feared may be the end of the parade.
2 Hours later we again wondered if this was the end of the parade. It was but I must admit it was the best parade I've ever seen.
The highlights are in photos on the page: Beauty Queens almost loosing her gloves to Wesleys power of suction. The Geico Gecko and Japanese drumlines. It was a fun day.
